A new book by Cambridge University classicist and historian Christopher Kelly challenges preconceptions about Attila the Hun and suggests he employed tactics worthy of a modern day mob boss rather than a nomadic barbarian. The book, Attila the Hun: Barbarian Terror and the Fall of the Roman Empire overturns the stereotypical view of the Huns as uncultured, smash-and-grab raiders who left nothing more than a trail of destruction across fifth-century Europe.
